“If there’s a sport to be found, I’ve called it,” says Ralph Strangis, who began his broadcasting career at the age of 16. That early love of live, action–oriented and highly competitive events has led over the years to a career calling sports for national and international media including ESPN, Fox Sports Net, Westwood One and Armed Forces Radio.
In more than 30 years of broadcasting, Ralph has called nearly 1500 NHL games, including three Stanley Cup Finals. Along the way, he has rubbed shoulders with some of the game’s all–time greats. His work has earned him a Lone Star Emmy, a Dallas Press Club Katie, four Associated Press awards and numerous other honors and recognitions.
“More important, I’ve learned a lot about people and living and competition and how we all play in the larger game of life,” Ralph adds. “I’ve been surrounded by high–performing individuals who’ve shared with me the secrets to achieving success at the highest levels.”
